FUTURE SCENARIO :

Over all Road Development Plan upto 2010 at a glance :

In accordance with the instructions issued by State Government given by Hon. Chief Minister to prepare the Agenda plan 2010 for Infrastructure development, the Road Development Plan - 2010 is prepared. This proposed Road Development Plan includes road projects proposed to be taken up

  1. from State resources i.e. from State budget
  2. with loan Assistance of National and international lending institutions / Agencies like HUDCO, NABARD, World Bank etc.
  3. with the help of private sector on B.O.T. basis and
  4. other projects with funding arrangement like market Borrowing Road Bonds etc.


The Projects Planned in Vision 2010 are as below :

The Proposed planning is prepared for the periods (1) 1997 to 2002 AD and (2) 2002 to 2010 AD. The brief details are as under:-

Details of Roads Development Planning from 1997 to 2002 :

During 9th Five Year Plan ( 1997-2002), importance is given to capacity augmentation of existing road network by widening and strengthening. Also for development of backward areas provision is made for construction and improvement of rural roads. It is planned (i) to construct bypasses around busy cities/towns and (ii) to construct missing links.
