The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is all set to showcase the talent of the players through the 19th Edition of the Tournament. The cricket enthusiasts have been looking for every bit of information on the teams along with its players. The 19th Edition of the Indian Premier League will begin in March 2025 but the exact dates have not been announced yet. You are required to check the Auction first which will tell you the details on the IPL Players List 2025 in each of the teams and this TATA IPL will have the cricketers from various countries and each of them will play in different teams. One team can retain just 6 players and each of the team can have 2 uncapped players. The uncapped players are those who are not the International players.
The IPL Auction 2025 is set to begin in December 2024 and the Venue for the same has not been decided yet. IPL 2025 Retention Slabs
The retention slabs for the capped players is as follows:
- Player 1: Rs 18 Crores
- Player 2: Rs 14 Crores
- Player 3: Rs 11 Crores
- Player 4: Rs 9 Crores
- Player 5: Rs 7 Crores
IPL 2025 Rules
- The strategic timeout is 2.25 minutes for each of the teams.
- If the bowling is not within the time limit, the teams have to place only 4 fielders outside of the field.
- The substitute can be used by the teams before the innings start
- The names of the 11 players have to be mentioned before or after the toss.
IPL 2025 Retention Rules
- The teams can only retain 6 players.
- The franchise can retain at least 5 capped players
- The uncapped players shall not have played the International Cricket
- The retained players list has to be submitted before 31 October 2024.
